The two were waiting for the patient care assistant to take Delaney for surgery to place a P.I.C.C. line in her arm for delivery of antibiotics. Delaney was taken to the emergency room on Tuesday after developing a 105-degree fever with vomiting and a stomachache. Doctors found an infection in the tube used to deliver her cancer treatments. Delaney is in remission from a rare form of Ewing's Sarcoma of the sinus and facial bones.
